After seeing the Grand Canyon, we weren’t sure what to expect form Arches National Park…..but the Moab, UT and Arches experience was unanimously preferred by all family members! It’s the favorite place for Orlando and Casey this far and it is tying for first with the Tucson KOA for the kids 😂☺️
The Moab KOA was amazing, sitting in between the Rocky Mountains and the high desert canyons. The views were absolutely breathtaking. The kids did amazing on this trip between the Grand Canyon and Moab so they were rewarded again with an immediate trip to the pool when we arrived at 7pm. The pool and hot tub were incredible. They had an old airstream at the pool that was converted into a snack/ice cream bar.
We went white water rafting (class 1-2) in the Colorado River from 0900-1300 on the first day and both kids loved it. We drove out to the river and back on an uncovered hummer. The other family on the boat with us was super nice and from Nashville. They had their adult kids, twins a boy and girl, with them. The girl Tracy just graduated PA school and is looking for a job so we exchanged numbers!
After river rafting we took our picnic lunch to the pool at the KOA. Then we went to the town of Moab which is adorable. We got some frozen yogurt af MOYO before heading to Arches National Park. It is a great park r o drive through and has about a 45 min drive from entrance to end. The last arch trail is the one we wanted to try and it was called Pine Tree arch. It is one of the shortest loops (0.4 miles) for the kids since they were already so tired from the day). Lando did an amazing job and spotted another lizard on this trail. He is leading the nature point game (over 300 nature points now!). Sophia was a little fussy but was tough and completed the whole hike.
To end the great day we went to dinner at Antica Forma and has authentic neopolitan pizza. It was exactly what we all needed! One of the best gluten free pizzas crusts we have ever had. The kids were the most impressed by the Nutella pizza which was basically a giant round calzone of pizza dough filled with Nutella and topped with strawberry and banana!
We did another early morning pool trip followed by showers and packing up to go get some breakfast in town. We went to Moab Garage company which has scumpdidliumptiois food and coffee. The most unique part was there were disco balls I’m the bathroom ceilings illuminated by changing colorful lights. Lando wants daddy and Pop to do this in the bathroom at our house now 😂

This is a trip of a lifetime for you, Orlando and definitely Lando and Sophia, to see the USA especially during the 250 year anniversary. I wonder where you will be on the 4th? Hopefully there will be some rockin fireworks. Its an.incredible blessing that you both deserve after all your hard work. God bless toy and keep you safe on your travels. The kids are going to love Yellowstone. The Bison, Elk and bears. Becareful stay.in safe areas. Keep us updated.love you all so much and can’t wait to July 24🩷🩵🩷🩵🩷🙏🙏🙏🙏
